Director of Human Resources

As the Director of Human Resources, you’ll find a rare opportunity to partner with organizational leaders to develop and promote people strategies that support organizational priorities. We are looking for an experienced HR leader who has a combination of compassion, drive, and grit. Reporting to the CEO, this role provides the opportunity to make a large impact on the company’s operations by developing and implementing HR best practices in the areas of talent acquisition, performance management, training and development, compensation, retention and more. The HR Director will take a leadership role in maintaining a culture that enables employees to feel fulfilled, perform at their best and provides them with career progression as well as continue to build on our positive employer brand.

This is a full-time permanent opportunity working onsite in the Wayne, PA headquarters.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership as well as develop and implement HR best practices in the areas of employee engagement, employee relations, HR policies, talent acquisition and retention, salary and benefits, training and development, rewards and recognition, and compliance.
  • Provide coaching and counseling to members of the leadership team, supervisors, and individual contributors throughout the organization on matters of performance, careers, HR policies and practices and related topics.
  • Lead the planning and implementation of leadership development initiatives which includes succession planning, mobility, performance management, competency models, and reward systems.
  • Occasional travel across office locations as needed.

Education and Experience

  • 10 years’ experience with a proven track record of accomplishments and progressive job responsibilities within human resources is required.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Strong generalist with successful experience both at the strategic and tactical level of human resources.
  • Strong technical skills with MS Office and HRIS (ADP preferred)
  • Ability to stay current with human relations, personnel policies, compensation and benefits and applicable state, federal and local laws is required.
  • The candidate should possess excellent oral and written communication skills and be able to listen well and communicate personably with all levels of management and employees.
  • Possess strong skills in relationship building, influencing, negotiating, analysis, coaching, listening and presentation, as well as project management.
  • SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or PHR credential preferred.
  • Ability to occasionally travel to other office locations.
